SELected Sessions is a one-day conference event that brings together nationally and internationally renowned SEL experts and presenters. This year’s SELected Sessions  will take place on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at the Nueva School, San Mateo, CA.


There are two ways to attend SELected Sessions:

  1. Tickets can be purchased as a stand alone ticket for just the one-day SELected Sessions
  2. Tickets can be purchased to attend the 4-day Institute AND one-day SELected Sessions

On August 3, our SELected Sessions Conference will be hosted by The Nueva School, located 30 minutes south of San Francisco and 40 minutes northwest of San Jose. 

The campus can be reached via a combination of BART or CalTrain and app based rides.

Financial Aid

IFSEL is committed to empowering all educators to attend the Summer Institute and we have Financial Aid programs to support this vision. More information, including the application form can be downloaded here.

CEU Information

Participants in IFSEL Events are eligible for CEU Credits from Dominican University. Participants completing One Day Workshops are eligible for .5 of a credit, or 2.0 Credits for the Complete Fall Series of Four One Day Workshops, or the Summer Institute.

If you are interested in applying, please request the application at the event registration desk. The application and fees are sent directly to Dominican University which administers the process. At this time, IFSEL is not able to provide credits for clinical counseling.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and respectfully request that if you cannot attend a workshop, please try to find a substitute from your school to take your place.

If you inform us of your need to cancel up to 4 weeks before the workshop date, we will return your fee, minus a $50-per-workshop, per-person processing fee.

Cancellation with less than 4 weeks notice is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person.

The Institute reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In that circumstance, a full refund will be made.
