The Heart and Science of Advising:
Practices, research, and resources key to advising success

Building and Sustaining a Robust Advisory Program

Whether you’re new to the role of being an Advisor, or a long time practitioner, you’ll leave inspired with practical lessons and structures you can implement the next day, creative approaches for authentic advisory alignment, and renewal of your own unique connection to SEL!

During this experiential and practical 1-day workshop we will bring to life IFSEL’s Advisory Principles, and offer a rich collection of low-prep, high-impact SEL activities. Supercharge your work as an Advisor; explore rituals that build trust and inclusion; and learn and experience a range of adaptable SEL activities that meet the needs of adolescents. Relax and enjoy this day of learning, doing, and sharing the importance role of Advising.

"Our Middle division program has grown exponentially over the time we've collaborated. To witness the activity at the faculty meeting where our faculty responded to your statements along the continuum, strongly indicated, in the most graphic ways, the degree to which they have positively responded to our work together. Clearly the majority of our faculty feel overwhelmingly more confident and positive in their advisory role and in the classroom."
