The Heart and Science of Advising:
Practices, research, and resources key to advising success

Practices, research, and resources key to advising success

Experience IFSEL’s Advisory Principles as they come to life over the course of this 1-Day Workshop designed to inspire and nourish advisors, coordinators, leaders, counselors, and every SEL practitioner. Dig deep into your roots and tap into the power of your SEL journey; find a fresh take on the tried-and-true check-in ritual; explore the roles of advisors and advisees through a novel, repeatable structure; and engage your empathy for your students through a teacher-learner experience.

Whether you’re new to the role or a long time practitioner, you’ll walk away with simple, practical lessons and structures you can implement the next day, creative approaches for authentic advisory alignment, and renewal of your own unique connection to SEL!

"Our Middle division program has grown exponentially over the time we've collaborated. To witness the activity at the faculty meeting where our faculty responded to your statements along the continuum, strongly indicated, in the most graphic ways, the degree to which they have positively responded to our work together. Clearly the majority of our faculty feel overwhelmingly more confident and positive in their advisory role and in the classroom."
