This Free TeachMeet offers an opportunity to hear from IFSEL School friends about Restorative Practices in action, using the IFSEL 80/20 model that highlights the importance of laying a strong foundation of SEL for Restorative Practices to become embedded in school culture.
IFSEL will give a brief overview of a whole community approach to restorative practices and then we will hear from the panel about RP in action in their schools. Participants will have a chance to ask questions and share ideas in an interactive session which will spark ideas for transforming school discipline.

Dr. Dan Glass is the Head of School at The Brandeis School. He previously held leadership roles at Wildwood School in Los Angeles and The Girls' Middle School in Palo Alto. He has written extensively on progressive education, Jewish spirituality and ethics, and contemporary poetry. A Bay Area native, Dan holds a Ph.D. in English from UC Davis, and a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley. He has published four collections of poetry, and has taught children and adults of all ages in subjects ranging from Ethics and Design to Poetics and Rap Music.
TeachMeets offer a simple structure to share resources and connect with people around the world who "get it”.
This highly practical, two-session online course will provide 4th - 12th Grade teachers and administrators with myriad strategies for embedding SEL directly within any learning moment.
