Meet the Team

Carole (she/her) was born in Toronto, Canada, but has had the privilege of living all around the world across her twenty years in international education. Fresh out of university, Carole began as a primary English teacher in Taiwan, before having the opportunity to teach at each of the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. In Turkey, she moved into curriculum leadership and gained exposure to the International Baccalaureate. Carole then spent over ten years in secondary school leadership in the UAE and Japan, where Carole participated in her first IFSEL training! Carole moved to Germany in 2020 and is the Deputy Director at the International School Hannover Region, supporting children, families and teachers from Early Years through the IB Diploma. And the best part, she still gets to have a grade 7 advisory group!

A passionate life-long learner, Carole holds a BA in English Literature and Sociology from Huntington University (USA), a BEd in Secondary Education from Acadia University (Canada), an MA in International Educational Leadership from Endicott College (Switzerland) and a Doctoral Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Bath (UK).

Carole’s favorite hobby is traveling, which is often combined with her other interests of gastronomy, photography and theater.
