Norma joined The Institute for Social Emotional Learning(IFSEL) as its bookkeeper in 2017 and brings IFSEL a broad range of leadership and financial skills.  For over 20 years, she has held various coaching and Directorship roles in San Francisco Peninsula school and non-profit youth sports organizations. Her focus was to implement and maintain programs which provided a culture for personal growth, teamwork, and athletic development in an environment which was competitive, respectful, rewarding, but most importantly fun.  

IFSEL has provided Norma an opportunity to support a dynamic team of educators which build communities where today’s youth will become tomorrow’s leaders. Norma is proud to support the IFSEL team as they endlessly provide schools and organizations tools to foster inclusive communities where parents, teachers and students are empowered.

When not bookkeeping, Norma enjoys spending time on the coast, traveling and is an avid San Francisco Giants fan.  She lives in Redwood City, CA with her husband, Dave, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UCBerkeley.
