Inge Strange

(she/her)

BA, BEd, MA Counseling Psychology

Associate

Manila, Philippines

Inge Strange has worked with children and families for over twenty years and has lived overseas for most of her career. Currently, she is an elementary school counsellor at International School Manila and has held this position since 2016. Previous to counselling, Inge was also involved in early years leadership, government facilitation work with young families and elementary school teaching. She has lived in Canada, Taiwan, the UAE, and now resides in the Philippines.

After attending an IFSEL leadership program, Inge was heavily inspired by IFSEL’s walk the talk approach. In her various roles and personal life, she has similarly supported, witnessed and experienced the impact of adopting and integrating SEL practices into systems and everyday experiences. She is excited to continue this path with IFSEL and is particularly passionate about supporting parenting journeys, authentic connection experiences and developing personal awareness as a powerful change agent.

Inge is a licensed Canadian Counsellor and ascribes to an integrative approach dependent on the needs of the person she’s supporting. She provides wrap-around and strengths-based care within the school environment, often incorporating play, skill-building, cognitive behavioral work and attachment interventions. Inge strives to empower children to be their own change-makers in their communities.

Inge has a lovely partner/amateur chef by her side and two engaging teenagers. She is grateful for her family both near and far, yoga, mindfulness, indie music and long talkwalks with friends.
